Book Shops

Thursday, August 24, 2017

Assalamualaikum. Good evening.
Im now at UIA. Got to do something here.
It's now almost 7pm. I was walking around when i realized the shops are mostly closed. Oh. Just recalled yesterday was the last day for short semester's final exam.

Stationary shop is opened and i quickly think if i should buy something. I mean something that i need. Yesss. I need a salotape. My students' books have always been not proper for writing and it looked seriously bad. I'll tell them, "its okay, i will fix your book" 😊 Salotape has been their savior.

But, i got another issue whenever i go to stationary shop @ bookstore. I always end up buying something that i already have because its a hobby (only at bookshops okayy, not clothing 😂). Not only that, i enjoyed so much browsing through the racks and sometimes i get annoyed if the shop is too small you've to squeeze yourself within the crowd.

Just now, i saw a box of crayon (very cheap at only RM2.20 but looking good) and suddenly an idea popped out. A brilliant one. I should present it to my lil sister since im going home tomorrow. Wow. Im impressed. And so, i thought of buying something fancy to pair with the box of crayon.
Then, i found a note book. Yes, the presents will made her day. 😍

My lil sis and notebooks are glued to each other (sounds like her big sister). She has so many notebooks and everytime i bought one for myself, she would want mine. Hihi.

If it is a present, i better wrap it. I also bought a 'Happy Birthday' wish card which is totally not related because hers was in January 😅😅

Its okay. It always feel good to do something good to the ones you love. ❤

At the end of the day, both parties will be happy. 😄

I think thats it for today. Dont forget to do LOTS of istighfar because Allah loves us to always seek forgiveness. May Allah help us always. Ameen.

The strongest ones bleed in silence.
Have no one applauding their growth.
Have no one watching their healing process.
They bloom in silence.

*anybody knows why I can't upload photo using phone? i love to put photos here, it just becomes more lively. 😍

Morning

Assalamualaikum. Morning ❤

I'm at work now, with endless to do list. I think thats normal. Thats why you work. Hihihi

Last two nights, i aimed that okay, lets made myself write something here. Reaching home after class at about 10pm, i went straight for washing clothes manually. I repeat manually. Hahah. Its been like four months since the housemate with washing machine left our house.

Okay, washing done. Now, ironing jubah and tudung for tomorrow for 15 minutes or so.

Then, I switched on the laptop , start doing my work. Edit paperwork, replying emails and edit paperwork again. And, the clock already ticking at 1 a.m, i cannot hold the sleepy mind any further and off i went to bed. Forgetting the promise that i'll write here. 💤💤

Last night, when i was about to sleep, i accidentally read one message which i didnt notice earlier. Next time, i shouldnt scroll whatsapp when i was about to sleep. Regrets. I should send some letters to my head for approval. I could barely open my eyes and told my inner soul, lets do it tomorrow. Im sorry madam 😂😂😂

We're in the midst of August. Huu. Time passed insanely fast leaving us with no pity at all.

May our time is blessed by Allah SWT.

Oh wait, lets recite one dzikr before ending.

Subhanallah wabihamdihi.
Subhanallahal 'azhim.

Very light on tongue but very heavy on the mizan.

With that, ma'as salamah wa ilal liqo' 😊

Thanks for reading.

Oh My English

Sunday, August 13, 2017

Bismillah.

Whenever i read biography books, i'm amazed at how people recall meticulous or tiny bits of memoirs in their life. I mean when they were small and little kids. And wondering why i dont have much to recall? Haha

Okay, so tonight i'll write something about my teacher. When i was in Form 1, i went into a secondary school just like my older sister, which i disliked. Of course, i aimed to study at a boarding school, but since i didnt get through, i just have to accept it.

First day was troublesome. I kept complaining how much i disliked the school and repeating i'll change to another school very soon (which didnt happen)

Sir Chew Seng Hin was my English teacher. He introduced us to journals and he made us write our individual journals everyday. Everyday.

And i commited to it until i reached Form 3, Sir Chew taught my class again. Scoring pretty good marks in both essays and comprehension was my expertise then. I aced them all. There was one time when he kissed my essay paper in front of me and my friends which made me a little embarrassed. He was also the one who came to us and secretly announcing our PMR result (top scorers) when we're waiting nervously for official announcement.

I will always remember him as my notable English teacher + Teacher Toh Cheng Lian who taught me in Year 6.

Both of them are important people who have some shares in shaping my English today.

Unfortunately, i never saw them again after leaving school for some years now. I wish to meet them again in my adult life.

Now, everytime i teach English, i stress on one major thing. There's no short cut to success. You must go through the very basic things (grammar and all) before you go to the next levels.

I assure you, if you take shortcuts, you would never master the language. (Okayy, after some stories, there ought to be moral value right? 😂)

Thanks for reading.

Moon , oh the moon,

Come down to the earth sometime,

We will sit and talk as soon as you come,

If I get shy, come by covering yourself up with dense clouds,

In the garden,

Amongst the flowers,

Flows this silk like wind in my dreams,

There is everything like jungles and hills except for me,

Come my moon,

Lets bathe in the blue rivers of dreams,

Come, lets hide in the stars and celebrate defeat,

This is a little confusing as how can you celebrate defeat?

Come, lets get lost in the intertwining roads.

In Dark

Monday, August 07, 2017

Bismillah.

Im writing this in dark (and tears gonna rolled down anytime) since others have long been in dreams, whilst i just arrived home ( safely, alhamdulillah) after a class, then meeting (and did delivery for #MaryJardin in between).

This evening, i brought back 1 set out of a dozen of exam sheets for marking (students had just completed their august exam) I strictly told myself, i might not have time to sit and mark tonight, but i still thought, its okay, who knows i could steal some time).

Nope. I dont. I arrived from school roughly at 5pm and prayed asr, eat lightly (on diet) , do my laundry, checking phones, iron tudung, get showered and ... Its time for maghrib and got to go for class at 8pm.

Two hours went by, and off i went to a meeting. Concluded only a quarter to 12. With all prayers, i rode back home. It is always scary and terrifying for me to ride home late at night, alone. Do send your prayers to me.

Should be doing the minutes now, but .. Let me do it some time tomorrow. My eyelids is begging to close already. The ironing? Oh, lets do it tomorrow too. (You know when its all dark and all are sleeping, i shouldnt get up just to iron clothes).

Dont get me wrong. Im not saying im super duper busy girl@woman (haha). It makes me wonder how does a superwoman work? You know, seeing all the busy mommies who hold important position within their capacity, how they just did all that? Managing kids, husband, household, meetings here and there, having career, giving speech and still keep going. Kudos to all. I admire them.

Yesterday, i browsed through Dr Daud Bakar's 'I Have 25 Hours a Day'. He's a renowned Sharia Scholar in Islamic Finance and banking but i didnt buy it. I should go for it later.

Expecting another beautiful day tomorrow in sha Allah.
