Assalamualaikum.
Alhamdulillah..now in the few last days of Sha'aban and welcome to the most awaited month of the year.The month with full of barakah and rahmah to Muslims all over the world.
Back to the title..in sha Allah,I just want to mention few nice things about my lecturer.
He's a foreigner graduated from Al Azhar University and completed his master and Ph.D here, in IIUM.
And he's teaching me two subjects, Usul Fiqh and Qawaid Fiqhiyyah.(Nice isn't it? to study Economics but learn the shari'ah courses at the same time.Alhamdulillah :D)
He loves to give short lecture on women , marriage, covering aurah and hijab.
His favourite quotes:
" You sisters,please wear hijab for the purpose of hijab "
What I understood is that, we must wear hijab for its purpose which is to cover the aurah and to guard our chastity.And also,to be recognized as a woman with dignity.
About marriage, he said;
" You sisters, when you marry, you must really take care of your husband. you must know how to cook delicious food to serve to your husband. Men like to eat, so attract them with your cooking. If you don't know,then start leaning from now. If not, other women will snatch away your husband from you " :)
About government,
" See, you must appreciate your government.The government is giving everything to you. You must not condemn your government.Malaysia is a very good country "
One day,during presentation, I mentioned about the ways to elect the righteous leaders.And he interrupted me, " I do not want to hear anything relating to election in my class. You must appreciate your government " :)
He also used to say this with a very pathetic voice,hehe:)
" I know you are tired and bored with my lectures(3 hours marathon lecture during short semester).But please,I must fulfill my duty.If Allah ask me in the Yaumul Qiyamah, what should I answer? "
