SUKPA 2024

Sunday, December 01, 2024

Assalamualaikum.

Actually I did not intend to participate in this year's SUKPA for some reasons. Turned out i still did. Poor me haha

SUKPA Kawasan Gombak organised by dun sebab jumlah pelajar yang agak ramai dan memudahkan dari segi pengurusan and all i think.

The venue for this year untuk Dun GS - SLK Sports Batu Muda. Some photos for the gram (nope, this one for the blog) :p

tunggu selesai acara perbarisan

acara kategori 4 tahun

Rutin dia sama sahaja.

Hope so.

Then, ambik nasik lunch (sedap lauk dia!) and balik. Sifat volunteer ni begitulah, takde elaun wang etc tapi makanan always ada :)

Alhamdulillah. Bye for now.

A Doctor in the House, Tun Dr. Mahathir

Wednesday, October 02, 2024

Hi all.

A Doctor in the House: The Memoirs of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad

This is a memoir from our 4th Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. Total pages - 892 and took me over a month to complete it and determined to do so before new semester starts because i learnt a lot in the process. But of course read, pause, grab another book, continue, read, pause and repeat haha. When I first grabbed it, I did not expect the memoir to be so much like a history book. I was amazed. (side story: i went to my student's house & i saw the book on the shelf and teringat, wait i have not read this and i still remember the book was pricey over rm100 i think - balik rumah terus cari yang ebook, lepas tu bila dah best baca cari yang buku fizikal pulak nak beli haih macam2 :p)

The memoir was published over a decade ago, in year 2012. There are altogether 62 chapters. I enjoyed the book and looked for the physical version in the second hand bookstores. I even thought of printing some chapters that i wanted to relate to the class because some of it are so relatable and would be a beneficial addition.

As an avid reader, i always know whether or not the book is a repeat or not. For this one, a very thick memoir - the way i would repeat it is by picking the chapters that i wanna know about because the amount of history and information there are worth it. Because it is quite lengthy, the moment you finished the book you already forgot what was said in the earlier chapters but still as i said, i learnt a lot haha

Here are some things that i wanna mention;

- Tun M lived his teenage years through war, British and Japanese occupation

- He was a doctor in practice and even had a clinic on his own. When he lose the second general election he competed in, he returned to the clinic as a doctor which he first sold to his partner when he won in the previous election

- All three previous prime ministers were lawyers trained in London, but he was a medical doctor from a Singaporean college where he met Tun Dr. Hasmah, one of few Malay female doctors at that time

- Hmm apa lagi eh..

- It has to be noted that he criticized PAS a lot haha in his writing but Tun M now already made peace with TGHH

- Tun M contributed hugely to the development of Malaysia like having our first national car, paving way to create Putrajaya, PETRONAS, Malaysia Airlines, KLCC twin towers a lot more i cant recall now

- He was the prime minister during the 1998 currency crisis, ops lalang, arrest of our current pm :o, reformation etc

- Tun M said on Anwar which was once his deputy - "Anwar was a skilled politician and a persuasive demagogue - always convincing, he also knew how to endear himself to people". Okei saya ulang! (if you know you know)

Never overstay your welcome - his mom said and i recalled one phrase in the paper when he stepped down - berhenti makan sebelum kenyang and he also said that was one of his health tips

formula 1 mentioned :D

Yup. I think that's all.

Catch Me If You Can

Wednesday, September 25, 2024

I just watched this movie for the second time and it took many many days haha because i keep pausing it and have no rush to finish considering i already watched it once. Sometimes I just liked to repeat movies that i deemed good and this is one of them mainly because it is a true story.

As usual, i love detective stories but this is the real one. The way Frank became a pilot, doctor and lawyer all the while tricking everybody in those professional careers and the forgery of checks worth millions etc etc

Not only that, he later helped the police detecting checks fraud.

It's a good watch and one significant thing worth mentioning is the FBI Carl Hanratty who was the one responsible to track him down in the end.

Yup i enjoyed the movie.

My current reading is the Tun M's memoir and one mental health related book from Matt Haig.

Last night, I did some Turkish reading and answer some questions from the material i printed out before.

The current weather is rainy and some parts in other states are having flood and I pray the safety and goodness for everyone involved.

Few days back, Israel bombed some parts of Lebanon and also put explosives in the pagers and walkie talkie of people there which led to the death of 500+ innocent civilians. Crazy insane bloody Israel.

That's all for now. Dont forget to recite Quran and selawat.

Bye.

Kelebihan Selawat Jibril

Tuesday, September 10, 2024

Bacaan selawat jibril, sangat pendek tapi ada banyak manfaat dan kelebihannya.

Some people may say, Oh i'll just do it never mind the benefits blah blah but to me i always loved to know the khasiat and advantages of it.

Kelebihan Mengamalkan Selawat Jibril :

1. Dipermudahkan urusan dan diberikan rezeki yang melimpah

I listened to one ustadz saying spend some time after your prayer to recite the selawat. He says he tried to do it 500 times a day.

If we say this for 1000 times a day, splitting it during five obligatory prayers - make it 200 times per prayer.

But, if we dont have the pleasure of time to sit after prayer (at work etc), we can still do it whilst doing daily activities (but hard to count) but if you still wanna count and validate the numbers, we can do it 500x each during Maghrib and Subuh prayers - just recommending.

That's it. Once i knew about this selawat, i just wanna try to say it everyday. Tak buat semua, jangan tinggal semua okayy. Friendly lovely reminder to myself.

Wallahua'lam.

New Watch

Tuesday, September 03, 2024

Assalamualaikum everyone.

I said before that i have never bought my own watch because my dad liked to gift it to me so yup. This time around, i feel like wanting to have a leather strip watch - bcoz all i have now is kinda metal type (is the term correct?)

I told my dad so, and next i knew he asked me to go to the watch shop with him. But he said before hand, to choose the one with the metal strap like usual - the leather one would be easily damaged and luntur. Hmm okay, let's see.

We went to the shop and turned out there weren't many options with the leather strip. I try to find the ones with date and day coz i liked it, but the watch that i finally chose was without them. I was considering, okay la because the other watches i have already have them, so i can do without for this new one.

And at this point, I am paying. I did not ask my dad to pay haha even though he was also busy picking one for himself. At the end of the day, he paid for me haha and for his watch which was much more expensive than mine. Thing is, if i knew he will pay, i surely am gonna pick another watch hahaha

Alhamdulillah. Thank you to my dad. Here are the photos i snapped in jumbled up order coz im lazy like that :p

simple but a beauty still <3

he's paying coz he's the boss tqqq :D

Lewis Hamilton Wins!!!

Thursday, July 11, 2024

Okay calm down.

Lewis qualified P2 on Saturday, weather is constantly changing - dry and wet; typical english weather.

Front row lock out should mean something but yeah, after so many disappointment i dont wanna jinx anything haha

Sunday came.  My first hope is so that Lewis will get through first laps safely, after the incident in Qatar last year, the feeling of DNF is unbearable so as long as your driver is in the race, we can keep pushing, even from the back of the grid.

Total laps is 52. After about 30 minutes of racing, rain is expected to come around the circuit. When it became slightly wet, Lewis managed to overtake George but not for long - the two McLarens came by too.

Max however is not having the real pace of the car and he could not catch the car upfront (he had a bit of floor damage on saturday)

Come Lap 42.

The last 10 laps or so, it was so nerve wracking. Cannot sit still knowing this is a long time coming. When every laps could not finish fast enough and checking the gap between Max and Lando all the time at the screen.

And the rest is history. Fuh. What a race.

I dont normally rewatch a race, but this one I already plan to do so and this time just wanna appreciate the chaos, sit back and relax :)

Oh yeah and Nico before the race believed that his bestie would go on and win the race. He said he still remember the pace Lewis had and how good he is at this circuit. Brocedes coded.

This win is special in so many ways - considering the Abu Dhabi 2021 and this is the first win after 900+ days winless streak.

LH is the first driver to win a race after 300 race appearances and various other records plus the most wins at a single grand prix, 9th win. It is gonna take a while for these records to stay.

On another note, I was surprised to see the pitwall indecisiveness at pitting and what tyre for Lando. They got medium tyre and go for soft whilst lewis go for soft because they dont have mediums. And lewis did a good job to make sure the soft persevere until the checkered flag.

Also a pity for Charles because after the Monaco home win, the races after that seemed to go downhill for him. When the engineer put on wrong tyres and ended up damaging his race when he has to box few times and getting lapped.

One more, Haas is something else this season. Better than Williams. Nico Hulkenberg always qualified well and for this race, he is P6. The best Ferrari driver this time they say haha.

Halfway through the season and already we got six different race winners. A good shift compared to last one. That's all for now. Bye.
