Assalamualaikum

#Day9 – 26/3/2020

For your info, this RMO is prolonged for another fortnight and will end by 14th April 2020. The Prime Minister made this announcement yesterday. This means a month of holidays or better put as a month of staying at home. Yup, it does not sound good but this is the best way to put off this pandemic entirely.

Few things i could say on this:

1. Yes, this prolonged period has been expected since the cases did not show a decrement and the death cases keep increasing day by day and for sure, it is really worrying us all.

2. This period is really a test for all of us. A month without anything to do or going to work and the obligation to stay at home and not wondering around even at the park is not something usual. It is really unusual. With all the restaurants, shops, coffee shops have to cease operation until this RMO is over, the road is silent especially at night there’s no cars or motorbikes roaming around. It has never occurred in the life of 32 million Malaysian citizen except for the babyboomers. It keeps me thinking about those who work and get paid on daily basis like penjaja, penjual goreng pisang and all small business owners. So, if you still get your salary in full, then the least we could do is syukur.

3. The PM has also announced all loans or financing payments are suspended for six months – need to pay after September and this works automatically. No one need to apply. You only need to fill in the form if you want to pay. So that everyone has extra money and it is so touching listening to his speech, saying – asalkan ada makanan atas meja untuk dimakan. Allah has chosen TS Muhyiddin to lead the country during this tough time and His planning is the best. He also said that he will announce a budget (pakej rangsangan ekonomi) for all groups of citizen on March 30th.

4. Since the soldiers (ATM –Angkatan Tentera Malaysia) is assisting the policeforce and they are around everywhere ; the movement is extra restricted.

It is crucial to stay sane during this period because all of us are affected. Only to Allah we seek help and pray. This is also the time for us to ponder and gets closer to Allah.

One little thing that i learned is i just memorised this du’a. Yup, it is just a little thing but it matters :D

Restricted Movement Order & Israk Mikraj

Saturday, March 21, 2020

Today is Day 5 of RMO. And the first day of Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) assisting PDRM to enforce this order in the effort to eradicate the transmission.

18th - 31st March 2020, the period of RMO.

I arrived home on the 16th and the announcement was made by PM at 10 p.m the same night. He's giving a day - 17th for people to get ready and arrange Work from Home (WFH). The order means school will be closed for another week and all employees are also restricted for work except those dealing with essential services.

17th March
Mom was getting ready from early in the morning, buying all essential items for home - mostly basic necessities. What makes it worse was people are all in panic and thus panic buying which cause a shortage of supplies when people tend to hoard items.

18th March
I went to Supermas and bought extra food for us all - a family of seven. You know, when we are all restricted to go outside and have to stay at home quietly, what is left for us to do other than talking and eating hihi. Some biscuits, nuggets and fries will do. Alhamdulillah. Actually, all the supplies are there like normal but when people around are panicking, somehow we will be affected.

Today is 22nd of March.

I bought return tickets when i came home for school hols including this one. Thanks to Allah i dont need to buy a new one, just have to pay extra RM5 to change the date which i do not confirm yet.

I have four bundles of exam papers in Gombak which i didnt bring home at all hehe.

Sadly enough, i only brought home two books - Harry Potter No 1 & Travelog Emas. Of course, i have a shelf full of other books at home too but i want to read new books. I meant to go to Popular KB Mall to buy the last book of HP - the Deathly Hallows but it is closed, like all the other shops.

So, i am trying to write every two days maybe. This fortnight is teaching us a bunch of lessons and it depends on us to be wise enough to crack them up

Today is also the 27th of Rajab - Israk Mikraj.

The night journey of Prophet Muhammad SAW- consisted of Israk (jouney from Masjidil Haram to Masjidil Aqsa) and Mikraj (journey from Masjidil Aqsa to Sidratul Muntaha)
