Tarbiyyah

Wednesday, December 31, 2014
Bismillah.

Tarbiyyah bertujuan melahirkan jundullah.

Supaya saya terus istiqamah.
Dan supaya kita boleh bertemu di syurga.

Flood

Friday, December 26, 2014
Bismillah.

Today, 26th December 2014 marked a decade of Tsunami in Acheh.
And right now, we are facing a huge flood in Kelantan, Bumi Serambi Makkah and the neighboring states.

This year, there is no such thing that this places have never been flooded before, as I could say most of the places are affected. My home sweet home too.

Among the most affected places are Kuala Krai and Rantau Panjang.

MRSM Kuala Krai

This has been the worst flood in my state. Water is everywhere and this has not been a usual one because even two storey building sank.

:'(
It has been a hard time when the evacuation centre was flooded too. And it is more disheartening when aids cannot be sent because there is no way to the place except by the airways.

O Allah, forgive our sins :(

We prayed to Allah to to grant us patience in dealing with this musibah. Indeed, this is a test from Allah SWT.
Allahuma ajjirni fi musibati,
Wakhlufni khairan minha.
Amin.

When you ever feel that you're doing injustice to yourself,
Turn back to Him.

(Az Zumar:53)

It's never too late to make a U-turn.
You and I both make mistakes.
Smile and keep moving forward.

As long as we have Allah in our sides, nothing else shall prevail.
Astaghfirullah.

May Allah forgive our sins and blessed us with His rahmah.

I Believe

Friday, November 28, 2014

IRFAN MAKKI

When you’re searching for the light

And you see no hope in sight

Be sure and have no doubt

He’s always close to you

He’s the one who knows you best

He knows what’s in your heart

You’ll find your peace at last

If you just have faith in Him

You’re always in our hearts and minds

Your name is mentioned every day

I’ll follow you no matter what

My biggest wish is to see you one day

Chorus:

I believe

I believe

Do you believe, oh do you believe?

MAHER ZAIN

Coz I believe

In a man who used to be

So full of love and harmony

He fought for peace and liberty

And never would he hurt anything

He was a mercy for mankind

A teacher till the end of time

No creature could be compared to him

So full of light and blessings

You’re always in our hearts and minds

Your name is mentioned every day

I’ll follow you no matter what

If God wills we’ll meet one day

Chorus

If you lose your way

Believe in a better day

Trials will come

But surely they will fade away

If you just believe

What is plain to see

Just open your heart

And let His love flow through

I believe I believe, I believe I believe

And now I feel my heart is at peace

Chorus

I believe I believe, I believe I believe

May Allah made us among the believers.
May Allah reunite us in the Jannah.
Amin.

Sadaqah

Saturday, November 08, 2014

This is a true story based in Saudi Arabia.

There's an old woman suffered with cancer.

She had a maid from Indonesia.

This old woman always see her maid took a long time in the toilet and when she came out from the toilet, her eyes became red as if she was crying. It happened many times.

Then, this old woman asked her maid if something is wrong.

The maid said, " I came here and left my two months old baby in my hometown ( Indonesia). The baby was breastfeeding until I came here and since then I have to pump out the milk and just see the milk being wasted. Every time I see the wasted milk, it will remind me to my dearest baby and I'll cry "

Not long after, the old woman gave her two year salary. Again, two year salary plus a flight ticket to Indonesia to her maid. She said, " Go home and breastfeed your child and return here when your baby is two ".

Subhanallah. This may seem just simple but if you read it with your heart, somehow you'll feel the beauty of it. The story doesn't end there.

The day after, the old woman went to the doctor for treatment and the doc was surprised not to see any single cancer cells in her body. The old woman was surprised too. Don't you? :)

When the doc asked her what did she do or what did she ate, she simply said nothing. The doc believed something must has happened and urged the woman to remember hard what was going on few days back. Then, she simply related the story of the maid.

The doctor said,  Prophet SAW is right. Masha Allah.

" Treat your sickness by giving sadaqah "

May Allah made us among those who will be consistent in giving sadaqah and doing charity.
May Allah  made us among the people of Jannah.
Amin.

A Big Heart

Monday, November 03, 2014

Assalamualaikum :)

In sha Allah

Lets pray to Allah to have a 'big heart' which is not busied with simple little things coz the life in the dunya is temporary.

A friend of mine has just passed away few days ago and he didnt give any signals to his friends nearby. Even the family didnt have chance to say goodbye. Something happened and he was warded in the ICU for two weeks and passed away peacefully later.

The other story i heard: An engineering student ( brother) who's newly wed passed away due to dengue fever. Allahuakbar.

Its a reminder for us. Death waits for no one. Lets get prepared.

May Allah made us among the people of Jannah.
Amin.

MH17

Wednesday, September 24, 2014
Assalamualaikum w.b.t

Alhamdulillah. All thanks are due to Him.
Ramadhan and Syawal has just left us. Masha Allah, how time flies.

In the midst of Ramadhan, the whole world was shocked with the incident of a Malaysian airplane MH17 that was shot down near Kiev, Ukraine which involved nearly 300 passengers including the crews.

The world watched sympathetically to Malaysia especially after the tragedy of MH370 which mystery is yet to be solved. The diplomatic way of the Prime Minister in dealing with this matter was praised by all. After a long wait, the corpses of the victims of MH17 was sent back to our homeland on 22nd August 2014(Friday) which involved 20 victims. The rest are yet to be recognized.

On that day, a special ceremonial occasion was held in Kompleks Bunga Raya, KLIA in which all the coffins containing the corpses of the victims who just arrived from Ukraine were sent to their hometowns as per families' requests. There was a minute of silence whereby people meditate according to their religion as the last tribute to all victims of MH17. Al fatihah.

In accordance to this, I would like to share a poem in Bahasa(author : unknown) which is a tribute to all victims of MH17.
Duhai saudara saudariku mangsa MH17
Apakah rahsiamu dengan Tuhanmu?
Sehingga  kami semua tersibukkan dengan ehwalmu
Duhai saudara saudariku mangsa MH17
Apakah amal kebaikanmu yang tinggi melangit
Hingga ribuan manusia hadir solat jenazahmu
Seluruh rakyat Malaysia mendoakanmu
Duhai saudara saudariku mangsa MH17
Sungguh aku cemburu pada kalian
Hamba terpilih Tuhan.

May Allah guide us to the right way and May Allah make us the people of jannah.
Amin.

PRU 13

Friday, May 30, 2014
Assalamualaikum.

Allah knows BEST ;)
Assalamualaikum.

Today, I got a good piece of advice from my ustaz. He said, " Great people don't cry ".

Masha Allah. I was taken aback with his words. Great people are the one who has good and intimate relationship with his Lord and also with the people around (Hablun minallah wa hablun minannas). Great people only cry when they're in front of their Lord, in the early morning at which time others are asleep and they are prostrating to their Lord and hoping for His pleasure.

Tahajjud prayer is like a poisonous arrow, because you shoot at all your problems, at all your enemies. Isn't it so awesome to tell our problems, difficulties and hardships to the One who creates us, the One who knows everything about us, be it our past or the future? Masha Allah. May Allah give us the strength to pray tahajjud and feel the intimacy of a good relationship with Allah.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

If Allah has loved a servant [of His] He calls Gabriel (on whom be peace) and says: I love So-and-so, therefore love him. He (the Prophet peace be upon him) said: So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven, saying: Allah loves So-and-so, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of heaven love him. He (the Prophet peace be upon him) said: Then acceptance is established for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel and says: I abhor So-and-so, therefore abhor him. So Gabriel abhors him. Then Gabriel calls out to the inhabitants of heaven: Allah abhors So-and-so, therefore abhor him. He (the Prophet peace be upon him) said: So they abhor him, and abhorrence is established for him on earth.

It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari, Malik, and at-Tirmidhi).

May Allah make us among the people of Jannah.
Amin.

Exam

Sunday, May 11, 2014
Bismillah.

Sometimes, we just need to force ourself to write. I always wonder how the classical scholars can wrote thousands of pages of books and I believe that it is Allah's blessings to them and the sincerity of their writing can be felt until today.

There is one saying that goes, " When you open your heart to seek knowledge, then the world will be your teacher". Yes, it is true indeed because when we put ourselves in the seeking knowledge mode, we'll find out that we learnt many things.

I just wanna share three things that was said by TG Nik Abdul Aziz that I think is very beneficial and we should have a try on it and feel the difference.

He said, in your daily life, do not forget or leave these three. At least, we practised 2/3 daily and continue praying to Allah to give the strength to practise and be consistent in all those three. In sha Allah.

They are:

1. Tahajjud prayer
2. Dhuha prayer
3. Al-Qur'an

In sha Allah, this practise will give us inner strength to go through all the ups and downs in life.

I believe that it is not easy to be consistent and we need always to renew our intention and believe that Allah knows BEST.

May Allah give us the strength and consistency in doing the good deeds and may Allah reward us with Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.

GST

Saturday, May 03, 2014

Bismillah.

Is it true that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) that will be implemented a year  from now brings more harm than good? Is it true that we, as the final consumers will bear the entire tax burden from GST?

Let me brief you few  disadvantages of GST.

1.         It may result in inflation as general products prices will go up.
2.        Increase the tax burden on low and middle income working groups.
3.        Home prices will go up despite the fact that residential properties  fall under the “Exempt-Rated” basket of goods .
4.        The income level will not increase as much as the increase in the tax burden.
5.        Everyone will pay tax and tax burden will be spread over which will lead to injustice .

For a basic understanding, with the implementation of GST, prices of goods and services will generally go up.

As a university student who will be graduated soon (in sha Allah), it is of my concern to own a house which is one of the basic necessities. Nevertheless, with the ‘craziness’ in the current home prices,  it is of no doubt that after GST is implemented, the price will go even higher. Don’t you share the same thought and feeling? We, being the cream of the cream in the country should voice out our concern especially when it matters not only us, but the future generations as well.

It is not uncommon to hear the elders said, “ You students don’t talk and object too much. Just relax and soon you’ll understand ”. Respect are due to them because they are our future times. However, tolerating the future lives due to the discrepancies and mismanagement  in today’s life is unacceptable and should be avoided.

Role Model

Thursday, February 20, 2014
Bismillah.

The new semester has just began.Being the final year student, I am allowed to choose my preferred elective courses which total up to 12 credit hours, which is equivalent to four elective courses.Alhamdulillah, this semester, I chose al-Iqtisad fi Qur'an wa Sunnah (Economics in the Quran and Sunnah), lectured by Dr Mustafa Omar, a foreign lecturer. Most of the time, Dr Mustafa will share his life experience with us (his students) and often relate the knowledge we learnt in class with practical examples.

Alhamdulillah, today he shared with us something beautiful on the topic of Challenges in Reviving the Institution of al Amanah. I shall not dicsuss further this time what is al Amanah and its challenges. I will just elaborate on one point that will bring us to the examples that the lecturer gave. One of the challenges in reviving the institution of al Amanah is the absence of role model.

Here, he first quoted the example of Tuan Guru Hj Nik Abdul Aziz b Nik Mat, the previous Menteri Besar of Kelantan that served for almost 22 years. He started by posing this question to us , " How many people in the Muslim world who are like TGNA? " Then, he told his story to us about his experience of visiting TGNA in Kelantan. " TGNA just wore a simple sarong and did not show any extravagance , yet very humble. I was shocked at the time when TGNA cross the road to go and buy some 'kuih muih' to entertain us as his guest. The humbleness, the place and the muamalah of TGNA indicated how he really assume his position as the Menteri Besar of Kelantan as an amanah from Allah, though at political level there are lots of temptations that could have distracted somebody without clear objectives in this world." There are many other good things in the characters of TGNA though there are many people out there who didn't like this figure.

DrMAZA once quoted TGNA had his own standard whereby if somebody accused him of taking bribes or commiting crimes , people would not believe it. Why? The reason is simple, it is because he had taken almost the entire of his life in serving the people as the way that is regulated in Islam (by showing good examples to the people and walk the talk) and only the less-intelligent people would call him a kafir or any other accusations. I wondered, how people can accuse TGNA of being a kafir when he had only missed his tahajjud prayer three times in his life?

An ustaz once said that TGNA used to call his secretary (Ust Fadhli), in the early morning around 3-4 am to give some media-statement and at the same time asked his secretary to come to the mosque and pray solat Subh in congregation. The ustaz said that how husnu dzon is TGNA when he's expecting other people also woke up for tahajjud every night, as he is.

Though some might argue why we should take a person that is alive as our role model and why not just take Prophet Muhammad SAW as our role model? It is good to bear in mind that sometimes we need practical examples in our life. This does not mean taking Prphet Muhammad SAW as not a practical example, but to suit with the current era, it is also practical to take somebody who eat the same rice that we eat , live in the same era that we live as long as that person is also following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad SAW and whatmore when the person is encouraging us to also follow the teachings of Prophet.

Tn Guru Hj Nik Abdul Aziz b Nik Mat

May Allah guide us to the right path.
Amin.

The So-Called 'Janji Ditepati '

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

The price hikes are ‘awesome’. The withdrawal of sugar subsidy, the new electricity tariff increase (15%-18% starting next month), the replacement of SST (Sales and Services Tax) to GST (Goods and Services Tax) and the latest increase in toll prices which will take effect starting next months are driving the consumers crazy. These hikes are subsequent and too much for consumers. While the consumers are just adjusting themselves from the withdrawal of sugar subsidy after the announcement of Budget 2014, then without warning, came other price increases which are quite burdensome to the consumers.

A simple economic theory is: tax is one of the major sources of government’s revenue. This theory is a known fact to all and from the Islamic perspective, imposing tax is justifiable on the ground that the government is responsible to fulfill the basic needs of its citizen. However, the imposition of tax should not be heavy which may result in killing the work incentives of the tax payers.

I opine that the government should administer its financial position in a better and more effective ways like eliminating corruption in its dealings and should not spend extravagantly at the expense of the citizen. The ministers must realise that they are chosen by the rakyat not to thicken their own pockets but as a representative to voice out their opinions and hardships whenever necessary. The time has come when the ministers have to actually realize their promises during the General Election before. The price hikes came one after another and the Malaysian Rating Corporation(Marc) chief economist Nor Zahidi Alias said the main concern was that a slew of increases were being imposed at about the same time.He added, “Sugar and fuel prices have gone up and the electricity tariff hike will take effect soon. This will cause an upward pressure on consumer prices”.

TNB being the monopoly in the power industry is not hesitated in its decision to increase the tariff with the justification it is earning less than the cost it bears. Without major competitors in the industry, the customers are given no choice because whether we like it or not, we have to follow because a rejection will not affect TNB at large and yet we are affected which means no electricity. Nevertheless, some argues that competitors in the power industry is not a good idea because in the end the customer will be the victims of price competitions among the suppliers.

Regarding the anticipated toll hikes which will take effect next month (speculated to be between 50 sen to RM2), I think this is another way for government to take the citizen’s money legally. The government, holding a large part in the toll concessions should have a say in the decision and not to give the excuse that this increase is unavoidable due to the agreement with the private sectors. Majority of toll concessions are owned by government entities such as Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), Khazanah Nasional and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).

To continue, we must realize that the price hikes will not stop just there. For example, the restaurants’ operators will increase the food prices. We, as a concerned customer could not say much since this will go back to the actions of the government itself, in increasing the prices. In a short run, the cost of living will go up and will limit the customers’ spending. This situation will lead to another financial problem which shall not be discussed here.

In a nutshell, the government should comply to its promises to reject negative elements to safeguard people’s interest. I am not willing for my beloved country to worsen financially as much as I am not willing to see the governments are bullying the citizen in tricky ways. If this continues, the government must not be surprised to see any movements from the side of the people who are silently oppressed.

Selamat Datang 2014

Wednesday, January 01, 2014

Kedua:
Membaca Al-Qur’an sebelum terbit matahari, alangkah baiknya sebelum mata melihat dunia, sebaiknya mata membaca Al-Qur’an terlebih dahulu dengan penuh pemahaman.

Ketiga:
Jangan tinggalkan masjid terutama di waktu subuh. Sebelum melangkah kemana pun langkahkan kaki ke mesjid, kerana masjid merupakan pusat keberkahan, bukan kerana panggilan muadzin tetapi panggilan Allah yang mencari orang beriman untuk memakmurkan masjid Allah.

Keempat:
Jaga solat dhuha, kerana kunci rezeki terletak pada solat dhuha. Yakinlah, kesan solat dhuha sangat dasyat dalam mendatangkan rezeki.

Kelima:
Jaga sedekah setiap hari.

Selamat Tahun Baru 2014. Semoga lebih cemerlang di tahun ini .
