Bismillah.
Assalamualaikum :)
Recently I attended a career workshop organised by JustNice Family.
The speaker is Br. Faridzul Nasaruddin, an IIUM Alumni from AIKOL and is a Senior Legal Executive at PETRONAS.
He shared many beneficial points but here I will stress only on the main points :D

EIGHT POINTS TO SHARE:
1. Be Smart and Mindful
- For clothes, make sure you dont pick it randomly
- Please prepare the clothes you want to wear
- Make sure you choose an apparel that is comfortable to boost your confidence
*even if you just going to classes, wearing clothes/scarfs that is not at your comfort will somewhat lower your confidence :p
-Know your style personality. There are four types; Natural, Romantic, Classic and Dramatic
*please google to know descriptions for each type and which type you are in :D
- The most suitable for professional is Classic type
- Fake it until you make it !
- The first step even in choosing your clothes is important. Why? Put your intention to go for the interview for spiritual sides also; like you are gonna feed the family with the salary you got, you will be employed, this job will help you to spread dakwah at a different environment and you will have greater chance to contribute to the society etc :)
2. Art of Handshake
- Br. Faridzul demonstrated the right way for handshake
- I think the important point here is smile and see straight to the interviewer
- If the interviewer purposely put his hands at his back, it is understood that he didnt want to handshake, so please dont offer to him :)
3. When Entering the Interview Room
- Do not hesitate
- Walk straight to the interviewer
- Walk with firmness and confidence
4. Smile
-Smile sincerely, like a baby :)
-People will notice if our smile is sincere or fake
5. While Waiting to be called
- i forgot the points here =_='
6. When Approaching
- i forgot the points here =_='
7. When Sitting
- Pacing and mirroring technique
- It is when you mimmick@copy the movement of the interviewer without him noticing
- Eg: When the interviewer asked questions, he hold on to a pen, so when you answer you hold a pen too or something like that . You do it like not very obvious like you are used to it. Why? Because the interviewer will think that you have similarity with his style and he may like you for that
8. Exit
- When exiting, do not look back
- Walk out with firmness and confidence too!
That's all ^_^

BONUS TIPS
1. When asked to introduce yourself, keep it simple. You may include your name, where did you come from, where did you study your age and where do you live
2. Attitude and personality is important.
3. When you are asked about your previous work experience (if any), please do not say any negative things about your previous employer !
4. Please study the company before you go for the interview
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are a fresh graduate and have no job experience. What should you answer when they asked about this? Eg: Your lack of experience in work etc
ANSWER: Yes, I do not have any job experience in this field since I have just graduated, but I believe that if I am accepted to join the company, I will try my best to ensure that this first job experience will be the best experience for me <3
*Br.Faridzul's friend's experience and he was hired :D
