Assalamualaikum everyone. 

We went to Kuala Selangar for a short vacay - at the end of 2021/2023 session. It was long planned, only that many of us weren't available to join. The search for suitable locations also took some time, we even booked another one in Sepang but cancelled and at last - we found one at Taman Gaya Merak, Kuala Selangor. We assured each other - it's okay, we really have to proceed with this one although with the small number of attendance; 'twas supposed to be family day program. 

There's not much of program itinerary considering that all of us are working and we just do as best as we could haha in the short span of planning - we were all occupied with the AGM preparation the week before. 

Friday, 24th February

9.30 pm : gather in front of the office

10.00 pm : late dinner at Kafe Seeh Sokmo, besides the office 

11.00 pm : started the journey to the homestay

12 am : arrived safely alhamdulillah + choosing rooms + unpacked + plan for tomorrow + birthday celebration for nadh & k ain 

Majority of us slept at 3 am i believed haha, that's what happened when girls gathered 

Saturday, 25th February 

7.30 am bought breakfast at a nearby warung. We three ate there and tapau for the rest. Nasi lemak + roti canai kosong + roti canai telur + milo ais + teh ais + nasi goreng for the kids 

The warung was full house and i was so glad they have roti canai kuah kari :D

10.30 am : Bukit Malawati trip. Some of us went earlier to purchase the tickets for all. I think we were there for about 1.5 hours. What's the attraction there? Monkey feeding + tram + lighthouse + museum. 

Not bad, the entrance fee is cheap and affordable. 

1 pm : Lunch at a nearby restaurant 

2 pm : balik rumah, had some rest + cocktails + sleep + kids played in the plastic pool at the garage + planning for future programs + ate again what's left + watch TV. everyone's well rested. 

6 pm : checkout 

6.45 pm : arrived at Aroma Ikan Bakar, Jeram for dinner 

we actually waited more than an hour for the food -  and when the next table got theirs but arrived later than our group - asked the staff and they actually missed our order ugh :0

we ordered nasi putih + tomyam + ikan siakap masak 3 rasa + masak stim + one more + sotong celup tepung + udang celup tepung + kerang bakar 

I arrived home around 10 pm ; alhamdulillah for the journey :)

p/s: the book i brought to the trip

Assalamualaikum. Gonna update this here. 

So, we had the 28th Annual General Meeting last Sunday, 19th February 2023. 

The day before, preparation

On Saturday, i went to office around 10 am for some preparations and waiting for them come collecting the registration kit. 

K Dayah brought us kacang pool + iced cappuccino salted caramel for late breakfast. Thanks! Oh, it was my very first time having kacang pool actually, for someone who had a distaste for kacang, that wasnt bad. Liked it! (My Dulang Cafe, 013-9090059)

Went home at 2.30 pm and get some rest before night rehearsal. We should be there by 8 pm to ensure rehearsal can begin on time and since the venue staff gave us until 11 pm. Menu for that night : nasi goreng petai+lempeng+kari+teh tarik. We were all stuffed.

The day

On the way to Serene Hall, Wisma SBC, Batu Caves at 7.40am

When i arrived, first had to settle few things and quickly had breakfast before everything else. I learned my lesson haha, whatever comes your way - when organizing an event, spare some time to eat. 

Breakfast : bihun goreng + ayam goreng + karipap 

YB Dr. Mastura, the MP of Kepala Batas came at 9am. The wait was nerve wrecking coz the PA didnt answer the phone and no replies at Whatsapp and i was the one managing the VIPs. Next, i knew the reason why - because Dr Mas was accompanied by her husband and the PA is back home, in Penang. Alhamdulillah all went well. 

Loved listening to Dr. Mas' speech, it was awesome. I mean, look at her, a very young MP, way to go! May Allah bless her and family.
