Assalamualaikum.

We had a five day long holiday for Chinese New Year and i did not go home (preparing for final test this week and all), so i joined this program.

Took place at Kompleks PAS (KOMPAS), Tanjung Karang.

0715 bertolak dari rumah, carpooled with K Anees Solihan

0845 arrived at the destination and had breakfast, bihun goreng + kuih. the emcee announced that the number of participants was around 600 ppl from 22 kawasan in Selangor. Smaller number due to the long hols.

0900-1030 first slot and second slot

break

10.45-1pm third and fourth slot

1.30 pm grab our lunch & head home

The total collection of the day was RM10,000+

Cari surau/masjid nak solat Zohor; kali ketiga berhenti baru boleh solat

Masjid 1 : tandas ada dua sahaja, agak kecil, orang beratur ; dan takde air

Masjid ni sebelah dengan kedai Mee Udang Banjir, we planned to eat here after praying. Tapi itu lah, masjid takde air. I also dont really like mee..

Surau Petronas : tandas okei, surau of course kecil tapi juga takde air

I was seated at the back of the MPV and i actually slept for a while (sorryyy).

Sampai rumah pukul 5 pm. Pergi beli pisang goreng kejap kat kedai depan. Solat Asar and had late lunch. That's it.

I should be marking students' papers now for their carry marks, but i dont know. The mood has been summoned, and yet to arrive :p

By the way, i finished four books as of now, i thought it was three, but when i looked again - yeah, already four! Not bad for the first month of the year.

Bye.

Drishyam 2

Tuesday, January 17, 2023

Hi everyone. I watched this one thriller Bollywood movie - Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgan & Tabu, the only two people I knew haha.

Seven years after the case related to Vijay and his family was closed, a series of unexpected events brings a truth to light that threatens to change everything for the Salgaonkars.

Drishyam 1 was in 2015 and i watched it maybe in 2021. It was a nerve wracking one haha + adrenaline rush.

Seven years later, they produced the sequel with similar casts, which is a good thing. If you havent watched it, these two are greatly recommended plus there was a Tamil adaptation for Drishyam 1 and 'twas equally good because although you knew the plot and ending, still made you nervous.

After watching the first one, I even asked my mom if she and dad had ever watched the movie haha (they're such avid fan for Tamil movies)

It was a story of a dad trying his utmost to protect his family.

The ending for Drishyam 2 was tip top and if it was a book, oh maybe i would silently scream. Brilliantly crafted by the way. Whenever it comes to great book or movie, i would watch/read like slowly; not wanting it to end.

Maybe, someday i'll rewatch the film.

10 Essential Items

Sunday, January 15, 2023

Haha got the idea from the videos i've been watching so i thought i wanna made mine!

1. iPhone

Yeah, everybody needs their smart phone. I recently changed my phone after five years of using iPhone 6 because it's not working well and it's time to purchase a new one. And im far from following the trend, i bought what i need.

2. Laptop

I am always more comfortable doing major works on laptop - with a mouse and not on mobile phone or iPad. Mine was 10 years old, ACER brand and has been through thick and thin with me. Throughout my degree, postgraduate and working life. Thank you!

3. Watch

I have never bought watches because i use the ones gifted by dad. Currently, i have three watches and the earliest one i got when i was accepted to uia - and unfortunately, it kinda stopped working last year - changed the battery but in about two months or so, i have to change again - guessed the software is obsolete but considering it is almost 10 years of usage, it is fine then.

The last one i got from dad was last year when i was kinda telling him - beli lah jam satu haha. And dad mistakenly bought similar to the previous one, only difference in colour inside, but never mind.

Only the middle one is working presently.

4. Diffuser

Started using this Young Living owl diffuser in 2021, or was it 2020? Not sure. But the investment is worth every ringgit. Promise you! The plus point of this owl diffuser is it has white noise. I mean, i loved it. The essential oils that i use is only a few. No wide selection, because i only buy what i can afford haha

5. iPad

Thanks to my brother, he lent me this iPad (although i assumed it's mine now haha). Used the iPad to read ebooks and watch movies or episodes whilst eating and sometimes Safari browsing.

I've a stupid story about iPad. I was actually looking for iPads to buy like forever haha and many years back, i got scammed by Kevin. He sold it for RM200 (cant remember the model, but old model and refurbished one) and to be on the safe side, i asked him loads of questions bcoz it's super cheap and he answered them all and also i asked if this is a scam. At that time i really wanted one, and asked the opinion of my brothers about this seller, whether he's a scammer or not. I remember them saying, if he's a scammer, he's a real patient one (and mind you, they are, until they get the money). I went to the extend to ask him for his photos, just to be sure. Idiot haha.

Yeah, that's a scam and that thing never arrived. I was lucky it was RM 200 and not thousands (lesson learnt hard way). Remember, if it is too good to be true, the conclusion is IT IS NOT TRUE. Better run!

6. Physical books

This goes without saying. I must have a book or two everytime i go out and when it comes to traveling, i would take some time to choose over books i will bring along - usually at least three books. They just provide a sense of ..  dont know how to describe it, just really loved the whole idea of books and reading. A sense of home i guess, like Andrew Garfield termed it (i recently knew that he's a Spiderman and i dont mind a bit, but i watched him saying his love for books, always carrying few of them with him while traveling - ahh same same here <3)

Highlighter and pen is a must as well when reading physical books.

7. Headphone

I have two, one to connect with the laptop and this one is a bluetooth to connect with the phone. I despise the AirPods or that kind because it could be a choking hazard for kids. Unsafe. Better use the non wireless earphone, for me.

The down side of this headphone is it needs charging.

8. Perfumes

or anything that smells good. I usually stick to the similar scent from the same brand most of time.

9. Minyak angin

This is a must in my bag and im using a few kinds.

9. Notebooks

I need to have them and lots of them haha. I use different notebooks for different matters. Public Gold, work, journals, to do list, class notes, daily gratitude notes, monthly finances and commitments etc

And i have specific type that i like, how the linings inside goes, the space for writings haha. When i walked into bookshops and lurking around stationary aisle, i told myself.. pls no more notebooks, dont get lured haha coz you have a lot at home..but still. The most recent one was yesterday, a small one from Kiosk Mahallah Hafsah, bought it bcoz it's RM1 :D

10. Qur'an

Last but not least, the one thing that is a must is the Qur'an. I used to bring it from campus and back home but not anymore because found it easier to not bring it whilst on the bus. No suitable place to put.

This one has been with me since my matriculation years, since 2010. What a time. I have to wrap it because the cover needed fixing and torn. I have few other mushaf but this one is the one i regularly use for recitation.

To me, i still go back to the physical mushaf everytime although you can always find it in the apps but the feeling of holding it is better, unless there's no choice.

When you think that oh, i dont have time to read the Qur'an, you can recite the surah you have memorized too.

Is it the world that's busy or is it my mind ~

Yup, that's a wrap :)

2023

Assalamualaikum. My first posting in new year :)

Just wanna update my day. It`s currently 8.55pm as im writing on my iPad with the newly charged keyboard haha.

It is the first weekend of 2023 and i am in Gombak, just coming back from hometown last Monday. I had a fever for a week, towards the end of last year and the sore throat, cough and flu take a longer time to recover and am still coughing.

What to update? haha

This morning, i picked my read - Sherlock Holmes, just a repeat, fold my laundry, kemas bilik, kemas buku ad turn on my laptop to draft some letters but turned out i did not do it. Just listening to songs + scroll TikTok + read the book ugh..

Evening, it rained and after `Asr went to dinner kerabu megi @ kubur. A good choice for my bitter mouth still due to the flu.

Oh yeah, i realised that i wrote here much less in 2022 although i planned on writing on many things happening - but still i will make it up and post it later inshaAllah for the memory :)

These days, i was in the World Cup fever haha. I know other footballers other than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi thanks to WC. Watched the final of WC last year and still cannot move on and felt like going back to the days where me and my brothers always get updated with Premier Leagues standing. I was always following the sports stories back then, in the era of Lewis Hamilton (Formula 1), Lee Chong Wei & Lin Dan (badminton), Roger Federer & Rafael Nadal (Tennis), Nicol Ann David (Squash). When i got to uni, it kinda slowed down and dissapeared due to the business, study workload and all.

That`s all for now. Bye.
