Just some sharing on managing your budget.
This app was recommended by Tn Afyan Mat Rawi during a financial management session with him in 2014.
I installed it immediately , but later found it less interesting when you always have a deficit (since you have no salary) and remove the app.
I used to record my daily expenses manually up until I think i should re-install the app.
Alhamdulillah, I installed it for the second time and found it very convenient and interesting in tracking your expenses and income. Income may vary, of course. I recommend if you are a student, you can insert your income as allowance from your parents, relatives, PTPTN or any other scholarships. Plus, income need not necessarily be a big amount especially for students. Every single cents you earned count. Part-time jobs that pay you RM5 per hour is also considered as one :)
A students, our expenses may not deviate much, mostly we'll spent our pocket money on food, books and clothes maybe. Sometimes later, we may have to add it for rental payments, tolls, household items, utilities bills etc. Campus life is always a simple one. No need to worry about bills, parking fees, tolls, groceries etc. Appreciate. One more, dont forget to include categories for zakat, sadaqah and savings :)
There are many categories of income and expenses that you can choose. Its default currency is in Dollar, but you are free to change it to MYR. So easy. You can also play around with the settings (the income category, the expenses category, themes, colour :p)
It is also available in PC version, but that version I think is not free. A paid one.
It feels wonderful when you reviewed your expenses for a selected period of (eg: a month or a year) and you can observe in which part you are spending the most and where your salaries are channeled to ^_^
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you record your cash flows (in and out), you will value it better. Plus, if you are married and having kids, it will be of utmost use to track your cashflows. Sometimes, we just do not realise where did we spent our money. Thus, i personally recommend you to make the full use of the app ^_^
Whichever ways you record the in and out of cash is fine. The point is we must manage our budget wisely and should not overspent; live within our means. Financial planning is vital considering the current economic turbulence :p
