Assalamualaikum and hi everyone.

Today's post gonna be about my school, the first place i worked after my grad years - not anticipating it to be this long, over five years when the first intention was to get a job whilst applying for the job i wanted - at a banking/financial institution. Five years went by, and the dream is yet to realise before i took up the offer as a lecturer @ uitm di hatiku on contractual basis. But, im good, things happen for a reason and they are yet to happen or not happening for a reason too.

I took few days to think about the offer, weighing the challenges ahead, and after a long consideration - decided to step out of the comfort zone.

It's scary, i tell you; anytime you step out of the place you called home - it will be tough in many ways but you should brave it anyhow.

I liked my job, the kids, the people, the environment but i dont really actually wanna be a teacher - hence the sole reason i've never applied for the one off or interim teachers all this while, except only once in 2021. And the one i applied to was later revealed as processed only for applicants with an education background, so i was not on the list. Failed.

If i really want to be a teacher, i would have applied for IPG after SPM, but me ; has no vision of becoming one, really is not keen to apply - although countless number of people asking why i dont apply for the interim teachers and sometimes, i just don't care to elaborate.

I do love teaching, and i was a tutor for many years but not really like being a teacher at schools. And some people would give strange looks to me like, hey, are you not a teacher now? ;)

3 Al Muqaddishi - the class assigned for me in 2022

Do i regret spending many years here? Not an ounce. I got to learn a lot of things, make friendships, see my students grow from Year 1 and when I left this year, they are currently in Year 5. There are a lot more things which i may not entail here but i'm grateful.

You know what, life may throw lemons at you but we should react in the right way and not lament on everything. Mindset is a major thing, people may say what they like and criticise you on many aspects but it is you who have to live the life you choose and not them.

I gotta leave now, maybe i'll put some more words some days later. Till then.

Hi, Asiah finally successfully transferred to hometown for good after applying for egTukar for some years (repetitive 'for' over here :p)

We were school mates first before uni-mates and housemates. I was thankful for her presence and company.

Yeah. So i was sad when she got the news but happy at the same time, since she got to be with her husband (PJJ couple for few years). Yup. Life goes on.

Since we are both teachers, hers is verified; mine nope haha; we shared lots of school stories, the highs and lows, ups and downs, good and bad, disappointments, praise, criticisms and what not of our work life because they are in a way, relatable :D

And this post is gonna be photos of us, for the memories.
