Accident

Wednesday, November 10, 2021

Assalamualaikum.

Last week, early November i actually had an accident. I fell off my bike, laying on the middle of the road. It was around 4 pm. I was fortunate enough (thank you Allah...) that the road was empty at that time, when it is always very busy and packed with vehicles.

Another bike hit me from behind when i was just about to cross the road. It was scary to recall the incident coz i could picture clearly when the bike hit mine...

I got some cuts and bruises, mostly on the right side of the body. I went to no clinic until yesterday bcoz the swollen part didnt seem to disappear and it still pained me.

I just finished online class when i went out that day to grab some food. There was no one at home too coz it was deepavali hols. So i stayed at home nursing myself for three days (sob sob). The next day, i tried to ride again being more careful, school is gonna start soon (already started by now) and refusing to make it a fuss - if i take the day off from school and having to explain everything.

That same evening i also joined the usrah (online) and acted like nothing happened while actually i was in pain haha. And i didnt attend a wedding of a school teacher too due to that. Sorry.

Alhamdulillah getting better.

Vaccination Story

Friday, August 13, 2021

Hai everyone. Assalamualaikum.

Here goes my story..

I waited for some time for my name to be listed on the vaccination and finally i got the appointment.

The first jab was on the second day of eidul adha, 21st July 2021 at Stadium Bukit Jalil. I've never been there before and it was my first time. And i dont know there is a lrt line straight to the stadium.

So, in the morning i went out around 7 am with Malini (M) to her workplace in Jalan Raja Chulan. Then, i took a Grab to the stadium. I arrived quite early and by 8.30 am, i was already inside. The appointment was at 9 am.

There were like few check points/stations you have to pass.

It was quick and completed before 9 am. Smooth ain't it.

The journey back home took some time because only close to 11 i arrived.

Gombak to Bukit Jalil is around an hour by car, so by train it takes longer.

For second dose, pretty much same story except that M accompanied me there and afterwards we went to grab some food.. i bought shawarma. Ya Allah, it was scrumptious. I must repeat!

Alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal.

Did i feel any pain or side effects?

Honestly, nope. Maybe just that numb feeling at the shoulder but none other.

Oh yeah, mine is Sinovac. All Bukit Jalil gang got Sinovac by the way. It was rumoured that those taking Sinovac will have to get the third dose. Im just okay. Come what may, i'll take it and you should too.

Pretty brief story. In short, may Allah protect us all from this virus amiin.

Assalamualaikum.

Happy birthday to my dear self.

String of beautiful words to share today for my 29 year old self.

On life - Take it one day at a time, a grain of sand at a time. Live in the moment. Plan, but have no anxiety.

(How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, Dale Carnegie)

On the past - You cannot change the past but you can create the future you want.

On the future - Fret not where the road will take you. Once you take the first step, let everything do what it naturally does and the rest will follow. Do not go with the flow. Be the flow.

(The Forty Rules of Love, Elif Shafak)

On success - It is being able to go to bed each night with your soul at peace.

(Manuscript Found in Accra, Paulo Coelho)

On failures - When life dissappoints, rest a moment. Downcast and heartbroken, I know you were once me and I was once you.

(Manuscript Found in Accra, Paulo Coelho)

On solitude - Being alone without feeling lonely.

(The Forty Rules of Love, Elif Shafak)

On marriage - To be loved and chosen by a good man is the best and sweetest thing which can happen to a woman. It is natural to think of it, right to hope and wait for it, and wise to prepare for it, so when happy time comes, you may feel ready for the duties and worthy of the joy.

(Little Women, Louisa May Alcott)

On motherhood - Mothers may differ in their management, but their hope is the same in all - the desire to see their children happy.

(Little Women, Louisa May Alcott)

On work - I liked my job, and while it isnt perfect, I also liked my life.

(Becoming, Michelle Obama)

On books - I've most of them written on my brains and printed in my heart, and you cannot deprive me of those.

(Wuthering Heights, Emily Bronte)

The Ice Road - Liam Neeson

Thursday, July 22, 2021

Hai. Time for movie review.

The only reason i watched this movie is due to the actor - Liam Neeson.

I knew him from Taken 3 and i enjoyed watching him in action since then.

After a remote diamond mine collapses in far northern Canada, a ‘big-rig’ ice road driver must lead an impossible rescue mission over a frozen ocean to save the trapped miners.

This movie is great in itself but what attracts me more is the fact it entails the story Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck).

Liam has a younger brother and he's having a difficulties (sort of retard) and causing them to get fired frequently. How Liam is being protective to his brother etc

When i checked the review, it seems the movie didnt have a good one but i dont mind coz personally i liked it.

The frozen road is something to watch because you dont see it everyday.

An ice road (ice crossingice bridge) is a winter road, or part thereof, that runs on a naturally frozen water surface (a river, a lake or an expanse of sea ice) in cold regions. Ice roads allow temporary transport to isolated areas with no permanent road access. They reduce transportation cost of materials that otherwise would ship as expensive air freight, and they allow movement of large or heavy objects for which air freight is impractical.

Im kinda lazy to write some more. So yeah that's it. The other action cast i enjoyed watching is Jason Statham.

Bye. Next post will be on my vaccination story :)

Assalamualaikum.
