Assalamualaikum. Bear with me, gonna write and just write. School hols has started. This time, it's two weeks, the mid term. Going nowhere, staying home, covid case is scary - today 9K+

I noticed i never put my graduation photo here, because i was being so secretive then and dont feel like exposing. Things changed and i feel good when i browsed through my blog that i see some photos of mine. For memories. Been blogging since 2012, cant believe tho. So, while listening to some music, let's enjoy the pics.

I just wanted to achieve. Or maybe I didn’t want to be dismissed as incapable of achieving -Becoming,Michelle Obama

Photo shoot with few close friends before the day. November 2015. Looking so bare faced haha. Masa ni tak pandai lagi put on some lipsticks or compact powder haha

At Keris UIA. I was in second semester doing my Masters during the convocation for degree. The feeling was very tense this time struggling to ensure i could graduate again the next year.

Campus buddies from left Amalina, Fitriah, Nanie and Azmah. Thank u for being there.

Hood kuning untuk Kulliyyah Ekonomi (KENMS)

Sesi pemakaian robe. I was once 40 kg hence looking small :p

Sekeliling tu ramai lagi yang tengah photo shoot jugak. Dalam hati rasa malu malu tapi takde orang tengok pun sebenarnya haha

Masa konvo je boleh pergi duduk santai kat sini, masa lain kalau duduk sini kena hambat dengan pak cik guard

One thing about robe - i love the smell and the scent.

Harry Potter styles maybe.. Tapi tu la, robe semua tak iron lagi adoi haha

Teruk betul kedut kat hood ;)

Testing testing

Zaman student perkara yang merisaukan berlegar benda yang sama - assignment tak siap, exam, nak grad cepat, tu je la. Bila dah dewasa, God knows...semua benda nak risau hehe

I was that shy, innocent and nerd sister once and still am, or am i not ...

Okeh, let's move to the convocation day. Im forever glad for these photos. It was already the millenial period with instagram and what not but again, since i was that nerd, i dont capture many photos,...my bad.. handset pun cap ayam haha

With Syira at CAC hall. Mortar board tu asyik nak jatuh je..

Friends till today. Syira and Tasha, the gang. Dulu selalu pergi bilik syira kat Sumayyah, naik tangga batu caves. Bila dah ada moto, naik moto pergi bilik syira. Pastu makan sama-sama kat dalam bilik syira.

Pernah sekali tu, ada dapat satu anugerah nama High Achiever KENMS rasanya dan malam sebelum tu sleep over kat bilik syira. Paginya tu, rasa macam tak nak attend, but syira insisted and kent her baju kurung and tudung.

Syira is Sabahan and now staying there. Very good at baking. Miss you.

The only photo i took masa dalam hall and i regretted it now haha - with Alang Mira

Alhamdulillah dah keluar dewan, bergambar dengan Mak and Adik

Teacher Nanie. Now a Kedahan.

Depan blok PG Mahallah Halimah. Sesi PG belah pagi, jadi ni dah setel semua.

Moto ayah bagi. Masa first sem master. Still riding now. Kat rumah memang banyak moto, sorang satu bawak. Style ayah beli moto dia takkan gitau ni moto sape2 tapi kitorang adik beradik ada pilihan masing2 selesa naik yang mana hehe

With lil brother. Now, a husband already.

Big sister. Belakang tu kafe Halimah. Depan bilik je, 10 langkah dah sampai. Tapi, masa eksiden jatuh moto 10 langkah pun tak mampu nak jalan. Terima kasih Ya Allah dah sembuh.

The room i stayed for 1.5 years. I miss the room, a witness to all struggle haha

Mek Kinah

Sir Adewale. Masa tu isteri Sir pun konvo.

Lepas tu pergi jalan-jalan Suria KLCC.

With the Rector, Prof Dr Zaleha and AMAD Director, my Econometrics Lecturer - Dr Gairuzazmi. Till today, i cannot comprehend the way sir taught us. Hebat betul. Sir mengajar 3 jam straight tanpa henti, explaining to us like easy peasy, and many times i dont understand a bit huhu

Lastly, the award - Rector's List. Alhamdulillah.

That's it!

Campus life is always something u look back coz it shaped u in certain ways.

I'll end here and inshaAllah will write more.

Mom-Daughter Coffee Time

Friday, May 28, 2021

Assalamalaikum.

Today's covid case is 8,000++ and scaring us all. The PM just announced after Maghrib that we are gonna have a total lockdown for a fortnight starting 1st of June.

So inshaAllah worries aside, i ll try my best to write and recording the memories as often here. I try.

This post is just santai-santai and include some photos of me and mom jalan-jalan which is rather special because this is the first time i am really posting a lot of the photos, which i mostly dont upload anywhere else.

Yeah, let's get started. Not in order of dates, just randomly.

Di Pantai Timur Tumpat. Lepas beli ikan patin, singgah kedai tepi jap makan ABC, waffle coklat aiskrim dan lokcing dan cucuk2.

The most recent one, when i went home for three days in March. At Kopi Mesin Kota Bharu, our first time. Biasanya pergi cawangan Wakaf Che Yeh. Lama juga dok sini, order banyak kali. Sampai rumah dah hampir 12 tengah malam hehe

Di Pantai Geting. Masa ni memang nak pergi makan sotong bakar di kedai Pattani nama Kakton ke apa tak ingat. Tapi penuh sangatt dan sebab tak nak tunggu lama, beli je la makanan di pantai tu. Gerai banyak tapi sadly, banyak jual makanan yang sama hoho.

Lepas maghrib, orang dah ramai mula sampai.

Ni biasalah bergambar sebelum naik bas balik Kampung Gombak.

End up beli satu sling bag. Actually, i only bought sandals from Oasis Tesco KB. Tahan lama. Bought BATA and XES many times tapi sekejap je putus tali. Oasis takde kat KL masalahnya hihi

Ni hujung tahun 2019. Jalan-jalan Tesco again.

Meksha ralit dok tengok orang main belon.

Hantar dalam kereta jer.

Family that prays together, stay together.

Menghirup udara pantai. Setelah lebih 5 tahun kot tak g pantai.

Makan-makan at Tesco.

Mothers may differ in their management, but the hope is the same in all - the desire to see their children happy.

Ameerah Care Ramadhan 2021

Sunday, May 16, 2021

Assalamualaikum everyone. Just wanna update on my recent program - Ameerah Care, organised by Ameerah Gombak. Ameerah is a wing under Muslimat PAS for young ladies up to 40 years old.

It was held last week for two days, during the weekend and i joined on the first day. As usual, volunteers were divided into teams but due to covid, the team were divided into smaller groups and we only need to visit 3 houses. Woah. Usually there must be at least 5 houses but thanks to many volunteers and due to covid, we tried to minimize the movement.

Alhamdulillah, the campaign to raise funds went on for three weeks or so and the final amount we raised was close to RM6,000 though initially the fund progressed slowly.

We have 30 families to cover, 10 each in Dun Gombak Setia, Hulu Klang and Sungai Tua. The selection included women aged 40 years and below.

We ordered a Raya Bucket worth RM50 from Mydin and prepared RM100 for each family. The bucket got the basic groceries like beras 5kg, flour, sugar, tea and so on.

My group consisted of 4 members and we started at 9am and completed an hour and 30 minutes later.

Putting here some photos to reminisce.

Forever am thankful for the opportunity to do something like this. It opens up a broader perspective of your life. Try, if you havent.

When you feel discontented, think over your blessings and be grateful.

Celebrating Eid #NewNorm

Saturday, May 15, 2021

Assalamualaikum guys.

It's the third day of Syawal 1442H and this year marks the first time i ever celebrated eid outside hometown though resides in Gombak for a decade - due to pandemic of course.

B

The night before, i ordered sate to eat in the morning. At around 10 am, we went down to Kak Ros' house (tuan rumah) for the first and last raya visit haha.

There was no one in sight and the hustle bustle of usual raya was no where to be seen.

So after almost an hour there, we headed home upstairs and panaskan sate ketupat and all for us both to enjoy.

Since i had severe period pain that afternoon, so i didnt touch any more food until the day after.

First day of Raya was pretty much quiet and serene. People were all scared and being careful of police's warning of RM5K compound for any ziarah raya. Last year we were allowed to visit relatives but the increasing case and more variants of covid made us stay where we are.

Second day of Raya, K Asra sent Mi Sup Tulang (Tq kak!) and we just ate the leftover from yesterday. I make fruit cocktails and yearning for mom's hot nescafe hmm. I also had Udang Celup Tepung home made. Yum.

Oh i forgot to mention, we actually bake burnt cheese cake on the night of raya. Thanks to the air fryer! It was good and so simple to bake.

M and me rayaing on the first day.

Yup, that's all i think for memory. InshaAllah. Im currently reading Little Women with a thousand pages and halfway through. Follow my bookish journey at my dedicated website.

Wassalam.

It's Ramadhan!

Sunday, April 18, 2021

Assalamualaikum everyone. Alhamdulillah thumma alhamdulillah.

Today is already 6th Ramadhan and thank you Allah for this opportunity and rizq to meet this holy month yet again. Syukur.

A year passed after the emergence of covid in our life worldwide and it is still here, in the community. 3 million people died due to this deadly virus - according to today's news.

The mosques are open for tarawih but with certain restriction, and current case of covid is showing an upward trend and highly worrying especially thinking about the coming eid huhu.

Lets not think about that now.

For this Ramadhan, im working towards

- khatam Quran

- do not miss tarawih

- do nawafil prayers

- do not miss tahajjud

- istighfar 100 times

- selawat 100 times

- memorise 5 hadith from the 40 Hadith

- finish tafsir hamka Juzuk 1

- finish tajwid book just bought

Being 29 years old, you just wanted to do more and better.

My routine during Ramadhan - during the day, go to school as usual and comes home at 3.30. Then, about 6 pm - go out for iftar food, either simple food at bazar or pick up at nearby restaurant. Iftar, maghrib - pray Isyak and tarawih in congregation at home - tadarus at 9.45 with usrah mates till 10.30, video call family - turn on laptop, do some work until get tired haha

Above all, alhamdulillah 'ala kulli hal. Till then, ilalliqo'
