Fudgy Brownies - at last

Monday, June 03, 2019

Hello assalamualaikum. It is the last night of taraweeh, alhamdulillah done.

Just sharing here my first time baking fudgy brownies last week, alang-alang buka laptop siapkan kerja :)

I bought Beryls Dark Chocolate Bar @ Sri Gombak bakery. It was full house, and i mistakenly brought only rm30 cash and without bank cards. Fuh. Regrettable! I was on my way from tuition and i thought just bring cash because im going nowhere after class, but you know, sometimes plans changed.

I was petrified (from the Chamber of Secret, if you get it) seeing loads of bakery stuffs i felt like crying. It just soothed me the way i enter a bookshop.

Okay, back to topic. I'll share here the recipe. I got this from @khairulaming, i dont know who he is (for now, later i'll go and see more recipes from him), but my bro tagged me on his recipe. So, here we go.

Ingredients:

250g butter - i used buttercup
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp esen vanila
3/4 tbsp salt - a pinch of salt
1 cup tepung gandum
1 cup serbuk koko
200 g coklat masakan - i used Beryls

*tepung gandum & serbuk koko ayak dulu

Bake @ 175 degree for 30 minutes; api atas bawah

And... surprise.. You are done!

It took only about 10 minutes to whisk all the ingredients

And, remember to put baking paper before you put in the cake;just to make your life easier

Since this is a fudgy brownies, so dont panic if it turns out to be a bit soft @ the chocolate is melted inside

Make sure after you turn off the oven, let it rest for about 10 minutes before you cut it

I put it in the fridge and it tastes better :D

Enjoy the pics :)

fuhhh scrumptious ! (to me, at least ahhaha)

let it rest in the oven for a while

potong-potong masuk dalam bekas, berguna gak tupperware tu haha

kepingan badam takde, ada badam cincang je so letak jela walaupun tak cantik hehe

I usually bought plain brownies with price range from rm38-50, so alhamdulillah can save money :p

* another reason for putting the recipe here, easy to google later hahaha

Baju Raya

Sunday, May 26, 2019

Assalamualaikum. It's 6 p.m now and I will be off to hometown in few hours, still i'm not packing anything. I should also be marking exam papers today and yesterday, but.. i waited and waited for the mood to come but naah. haha

This morning i went to home tuition at Setapak and finished at 12.10 pm. Then, i scolded myself for not bringing enough cash and purse(that has bank cards) because i wanted to go to bakery supplies shop at Sri Gombak. Huh

I only have RM30.00 and i managed to buy four bars of Beryls Dark Choc (200g) @ RM4.50 each. I was thinking maybe i wanted to go again after Zuhur, but nope. It rained and the rain washed away my feeling to go haha.

Anyway, i just ordered myself baju raya, just very plain and dull one :p and beforehand, asked kaklong for opinion cause i cant decide which colour.

Actually I've realised that I dont buy any new kurungs for raya for years now. Maybe five years or more. Wow. I'm amazed with myself hahaha. I dont really mind for baju raya or tudung raya or kasut raya. Most of the time, i will wear the kurungs from the previous years and since my size hasnt changed (especially the height :p) much since school, the old baju kurung still fit me nicely alhamdulillah. And, when i scrolled back previous years of Raya, it was true that i dont wear new baju hihi.

I remember being extra picky and choosy when i was small that my mom refused to buy clothes for me haha

The baju kurung that i'm considering to buy is RM67.00 only, but since i am not used to it, at first i thought it is an expensive price for that plain baju. But, when i recalculated, yup the price is quite reasonable hihi.

And, now all of a sudden, i am selling #bawalNUQ out of my interest to its design and colour <3

It's 6.25 pm now, i should start packing. Remember to recite Quran and do zikir a lot in this beautiful month. When our age has increased, the excitement of Raya isnt that much anymore, realising how blessed is this month we are now. Sometimes, feel sad that it is already in the third phase of Ramadhan. Let's do our best in the remaining days :)

Love,
kakdikbaik

It's Ramadhan :D

Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah syukur atas nikmat Ramadhan yang Allah rezekikan.

Today is 20th Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah.

This Ramadhan, let's do something better and measurable. At least, we know whether we are improving or not.

i.e If we targeted to recite more of Quran this Ramadhan, spell it out clearly how much you want to do it, is it half of the Qur'an or the full Qur'an or how many times you want to khatam Qur'an in Ramadhan. Just be true to yourself.

Personally, i have always targeted to complete (khatam) Qur'an in Ramadhan so i write out clearly in order to khatam, i must recite one juzuk per day. One juzuk equals to 20 pages, i should decide when i will finish my Quranic recitation. Usually, i will recite Qur'an during dhuha time and after 'Asr @ while waiting for iftar. I just made it plain to myself, if i dont complete the intended juzuk for that day, i have to carry forward to the next day. But, i tried my best to finish a juzuk per day or more. I should always recite more everyday because there will come a time i cant' fast in the month, so i will miss few juzuk there. You know, you just have to put TARGET. That will boost you to recite and have the feeling of cant wait to recite qur'an. You will have that feeling of 'RINDU' to touch and recite it.

Second, practise giving sadaqah. Try to do it everyday even for RM1.

Third, make a lot of du'a to Allah SWT and do zikir endlessly.

Alhamdulillah Ya Allah.

Teachers-Parents-Kids

Thursday, March 28, 2019

It was a normal morning, i was at my desk preparing the day until someone knocked on the door. There, appeared a parent (mom) looking for Teacher Anis. I was startled and mind racing thinking of whose mom is hers. I went outside and she introduced herself saying, I’m mom of Alia (false name). I immediately recalled what I have done to her Standard 1 daughter.

She spoke to me in a polite tone. Alhamdulillah, I couldn’t imagine having a parent yelling straight to my face. She narrated the story to me; She was shocked knowing i asked Alia; “tak belajar ke kat rumah?” two days before. She actually cried saying that to me. She was flabbergasted a teacher said so to her daughter.

I explained to her; yes, i did say so. I lamented on how Alia frequently refused to open her mouth everytime I ask her to read. Of course i was angry and those sentenced just blurted out seeing her refusal to read.

The mom said, many parents were talking among themselves : “ teacher anis ni garang“

I told her yes, i am. And anyone would be if you are teaching standard 1 kids and there are a bunch of them, 32 in a class. If you cant control the class, basically you'll find it hard to relay the inputs. Kids being kids, they love to side walk, talking non stop, not paying attention etc. To ensure your voice is heard, you need to talk at a higher pitch than them haha which is easily interpreted as 'garang'.

"I'm a teacher myself, and yes i understood. I dont mind you teaching Alia but you know i just wanna share my worries and i'm afraid Alia dont want to come to school if this thing continues"

Okay mam, i'll try my best to be polite to your Alia :)

At that time, i realise maybe i was too harsh on her daughter and me, being not so patient scolded her often for not opening her mouth to read! I am sorry.

But, you know when moms or dads are being over protective for their kids, things dont go too well for them too. Because, once teachers get such warnings, im sorry to say but they will not be treating your kid as equal like others. i.e if your kids dont do their homework, teacher wont blabber much and keep her mouth shut. If your kids dont want to read, it okay teacher wont force you. If your kids do something wrong, oh teacher will just, you know, dont say much. Because, they get such parents who complained over little things that of course affect their kids. I feel sorry for them.

When you send your kids to school, the least you should have is TRUST.

Trust is like a paper, once it is crumpled it cant be perfect again.

Whenever this things happen, i always reflect on how my parents raised me up. I dont think they ever complained about teacher's punishments, if any.

Nama saya Ahmad

1 Al Biruni

Tiba-tiba masa tengah buat kerja dalam buku kerja, Ahmad cakap dekat Muaz ;

"panggil saya Ahmad (dengan sebutan yang jelas) bukan mat. Mat maksudnya mati"

Wow, terpegun jap. Pastu tanya sape yang cakap mat tu maksud dia mati?

Kakak saya, sebab tu kena panggil betul-betul Ahmad :D

1 Al Biruni

Ada sekali tu, Ustazah Anis pergi tandas.

"Orait class, Ustazah nak pergi tandas sekejap. Awak siapkan kerja tu dan jangan berjalan"

Tiba-tiba bila dah masuk kelas, tengok Rayyan takde.

"Mana Rayyan?"

"Rayyan pun pergi tandas ustazah."

"Oo okei."

Rayyan pun masuk. Ustazah pun saje la bergurau,

"Rayyan pergi tandas tak bagitau ustazah pun (memang la sebab ustazah takde masa tu)."

"Saya dah bagitau, dekat Aqil"

"Okei"

Kemudian, Rayyan tanya

"Ustazah pergi tandas tadi kencing ke berak?" haha

"Rahsia"

Fateh yang duduk sebelah pun cakap,

"Eh, mana boleh tanya la soalan macam tu"

Rayyan cakap,

"Saya berak tadi" hahahahah :D

Maaf la, tak sopan sikit. Pelajar tahun 1 memang innocent :)

2 Al Kindi (kelas relief)

"Ustazah, Ali (samaran) tunjuk kat saya spender dia! "

"Ali, kenapa pulak awak tunjuk spender kat Afiq (nama samaran jugak haha)?"

"Tak la, dia yang tengok spender saya dalam beg ni."

"Eh, kenapa pulak spender ada dalam beg awak?"

"Ni yang semalam punya. Saya lupa nak keluarkan masa balik rumah"
